Most private villa pools in Bali are not designed with young children in mind; open edges, no barriers, and instant access from living areas.

Our temporary pool fencing system provides an additional physical barrier between children and the water during your stay. It is a supplementary safety measure only. It does not replace active adult supervision at all times.

Designed and operated by Australian parents, the system reflects the principles we care about as families: a gate young children cannot easily open, panels that hold their position, and setup completed before you arrive.

What's in the system

Features selected to reduce the risk of unsupervised child access to water:

• Modular panel construction for stable, adjustable installation
• Child-resistant gate latch — requires deliberate adult operation to open
• Key-lock gate for additional security
• Elevated latch positioning out of typical toddler reach
• Secure panel joins that hold firm under lateral pressure
• Stable weighted base suited to villa pool surrounds

This system has not been tested or certified under AS1926 or any equivalent standard and is not represented as meeting any specific regulatory requirement. It is a temporary, supplementary barrier, one layer of a wider approach to keeping children safe.

Important — please read before booking

Our pool fencing system is designed to reduce, not eliminate, the risk of unsupervised child access to water. No temporary barrier is completely child-proof. A determined or older child may be able to climb, move, or pass through a fenced area.

By hiring this system, you confirm that you understand and accept:

• Active adult supervision of children near the pool is required at all times, whether fencing is installed or not
• Children must never be left unattended near water under any circumstances
• The fencing system is a supplementary safety measure only
• Installation outcomes vary depending on villa surface, layout, and pool configuration — we will advise if safe installation is not achievable at your property
• Responsibility for child supervision during the rental period rests entirely with the hiring party
• Little Shell Bali does not accept liability for injury or death arising from lack of supervision or misuse of the system

This acknowledgement forms part of your booking agreement with Little Shell Bali.

Is this right for your villa?

Our system suits most standard villa pool configurations, but every property is different. Installation may be limited by irregular pool surrounds, very narrow access paths, or surfaces that cannot hold a weighted base securely.

We recommend sending a photo of your pool area via WhatsApp before booking if you're unsure. We would rather tell you upfront than arrive and be unable to install safely.

Temporary Pool Fence Hire is A$0.65 per metre, per day + A$75 one-off service fee (delivery, setup & collection)

Pricing is based on your pool’s perimeter. 

Each setup is configured to suit your villa layout, with professional installation and removal included in the service fee.
