Little Shell Bali provides baby equipment hire and temporary pool safety fencing for families travelling to Bali. Please read this Safety & Liability page carefully alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Pool Fencing — Important Safety Information

Our temporary pool fencing is a modular safety barrier designed to reduce the risk of unsupervised child access to villa pools. Please understand:

  • This is a temporary, non-permanent installation, configured to suit each individual villa layout.
  • It is not certified under Australian Standard AS1926 or any Indonesian regulatory pool fencing standard. It is designed and installed with reference to recognised Australian pool barrier safety principles.
  • No barrier system eliminates risk entirely. Pool fencing significantly reduces — but does not remove — the risk of a child accessing water unsupervised.
  • Active adult supervision near water is required at all times, regardless of fencing being installed.
  • Children should never be left unattended near any pool or body of water.

By booking our pool fencing, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for supervising all children and other persons near the pool during your stay.

General Equipment Use

All hired equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and safety-checked before delivery. You agree to use equipment only for its intended purpose, supervise children appropriately, and report any fault or safety concern immediately.

Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Little Shell Bali is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from misuse of equipment, villa or pool conditions outside our control, or delays beyond our reasonable control. Where liability can't be fully excluded, it's limited to the value of the relevant booking. Nothing here limits liability for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Your Responsibility

By booking, you confirm you understand the risks involved, accept responsibility for supervision and safe use, and have read the safety information provided.

Cross-Border Coverage

We service Australian and New Zealand families travelling to Bali. Our services are delivered in and subject to Indonesian law. For Australian customers, nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We carry public liability insurance appropriate to our operations.

Use of all equipment is subject to our Safety & Liability Acknowledgment, which forms part of these Terms.

By booking, you confirm that you:

  • Accept the inherent risks associated with rental equipment
  • Take full responsibility for supervision and proper use

 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indonesian law:

  • Little Shell Bali is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from:
    • Use or misuse of equipment
    • Environmental or property conditions
    • Lack of supervision
    • Actions of third parties

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the value of the rental service.

Access & Property Conditions

We rely on the condition and layout of each villa.

You acknowledge that:

  • Not all properties are suitable for every product
  • Installation outcomes may vary depending on surfaces and layout
  • We will always aim to provide the safest possible setup within reasonable limits

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events outside our control, including:

  • Traffic disruptions
  • Weather conditions
  • Natural events
  • Government restrictions
